Part of the findings from the inspection of our house here in Vancouver included a number of little things that needed to be done: trim the shrubbery away from the house, repair / replace the sink sprayer in the laundry room, fix the leak at the 2nd bathroom...
While I was finishing up high school I was the pool maintenance man for the apartment complex I lived in. There's nothing like playing with chlorine and inhaling diatomaceous earth, testing the water's pH level, and "shocking" the pool...
Pam has been calling our friends back east, letting them know we're going to be in the neighborhood again. (A six hour drive is a whole lot easier and less expensive than a six hour plane ride.) We already have three families planning on visiting...
If you're passionate about the development community, now's the chance to really do something about it. My job ( the one I'm leaving effective Feb 1 ) has been posted to the Microsoft Career site: http://www.microsoft.com/careers/search/details...
Congratulations to Richard Hundhausen! He just finished up his Visual Studio Team System book, which will be available in May. See Tales from the Doghouse - Introducing Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2005 Team System Beta Edition for more info.
Then take a look at my moblog , which is free. (As compared to Rory's moblog , which costs him $7 a month. (sucker)) There's the Florida house . :)

Update: I have to change the date! We're flying out to Tampa on Tuesday the 15th. As a result, I'm changing the date of my last PND to THURSDAY, February 10 -- as in, THIS THURSDAY. Same location: Lloyd Center. I hope to see you there! Spread...
USA Today today (redundant?) published the team-by-team schedule for spring training. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/spring/05grapefruit.htm The Sox sold out all their home games seconds after they put their spring tickets on sale. Same for Yankees...
The spring training schedule for Major League Baseball can be found here: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/spring/05schedule.htm . I hope we'll be able to go to some of the games in the Grapefruit League. :)
Ah, another wonderful Portland Nerd Dinner. Very cozy. Very satisfying. 14 people or so made it out to the mall last night for some fun. Greg brought his ultra-cool Sony Vaio which was loaded with his pictures from his trip back from Hawaii on an aircraft...
Wow. It is absolutely unbelievable when things come together so quickly and so neatly sometimes. This one just floors me. That's all I can say: wow . I'll share more - probably tomorrow.
How do I say this, except to just say it… We’re moving. To Tampa. Florida. By the end of February. As in next month. It’s been a good run up here in the Northwest. I will truly miss the friendly people and courteous drivers. (If you think drivers up here...
> The search for WMD in Iraq is finally officially over. At least George took a couple of years and spent a few billion dollars to play out the charade.
