Silverlight (and a monster!)
It's late (2:15 AM), but here's a quick entry to let everyone in the universe know that I've posted a Silverlight streaming video to the web. It's not a fancy application, just a basic streaming video player. But the cool part is the video that it plays. I used the Hanselman School of Demonstrating (TM) method to record a short session on setting up a VPC image for use with Remote Desktop.
I'm using the free Silverlight hosting available at http://Silverlight.live.com.
If you hate the video, you can thank Joe Healy & Jeff Barnes for their inspiration about using the hosted Silverlight site, and thank Scott Hanselman for the inspiration of creating the recording in the first place.
I'm still a rookie at creating videos using Camtasia. It's very raw compared to the work that Scott has put together. My presentation skills have dropped off a bit since I'm not doing it often as I used to as a DE. (As I played it back I noticed I say the word "OK" about 1000 times. Just a little crutch there. OK?) And, my viewer is primitive compared to Scott's.
Good news, though: I'm going to be getting a lot of practice in the near future.... Now that the MLB season is over (congrats, Sox) and the tennis league season is almost over, I'm going to have some spare time on my hands to play. And I'll spend it by inflicting crappy videos on the universe. ;)
